Phase 2 of the UFH is making this very interesting for our future project, but I am noticing a couple of bits we will need sorting before we can use it commercially.
1. the ability to lock centres to a certain maximum spacing. We have found that when you have narrow centres and very wide spacings, customers complain of thermal discomfort. Although it performs, you get uneven floor surfaces, so we tend not to exceed 200 on domestic dwellings even if the figure is so it will work wider. (We balance the manifold to sort performance.)
2. A quick popup box to change vital figures greatly speeds things up. Items like system run temperatures, floor coverings spacing, etc., when you click on the boiler / a room.
3. on the schedules, it would be great to have a shortfalls schedule (I might have missed this).
Phase 2 of the UFH project holds promise for our future endeavors, yet some crucial aspects require attention before commercial deployment. Key improvements include center spacing locking to enhance thermal comfort, a quick popup box for essential parameter adjustments, and a shortfalls schedule feature in schedules.
